Indications:
1. Typhimurium and other Salmonella infections: Drugs should be used for sensitive strains of typhoid and paratyphoid fever. This product is generally not suitable for gastroenteritis caused by Salmonella infections. If the condition is severe and there is a possibility of sepsis, it can still be used; Fluoroquinolones are the preferred choice for adult typhoid and paratyphoid Salmonella infections (not suitable for pregnant women and children).
2. Ampicillin resistant Haemophilus influenzae type B meningitis or pneumococcal, Neisseria meningitidis meningitis, and sensitive gram-negative bacterial meningitis in patients allergic to penicillin can be used as one of the selected drugs.
3. Brain abscess, especially otogenic, is often a mixed infection of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
4. Severe anaerobic bacterial infections, such as those caused by Bacteroidetes fragilis, are particularly suitable for patients with lesions involving the central nervous system. Aminoglycoside antibiotics can be used in combination to treat abdominal and pelvic infections, in order to control the coexistence of aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infections.
5. When there are no other low toxicity antibiotics to replace, it is often used in combination with aminoglycosides to treat various serious infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as sepsis and lung infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Salmonella, and other gram-negative bacteria.
6. Rickettsia infection can be used for the treatment of Q fever, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, endemic typhus, etc.
