Folic Acid Tablet
Indications:
For the prophylaxis and treatment of nultritional megaloblastic anaemia associated with folic acid deficiency, as in the anaemias of pregnancy, pellagra, sprue, and that following gastrectomy, and in pernicious anaemia.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Folic Acid 5mg
Pharmacological classification:
A.8.3 Erythropoietics (haematinics).
Pharmacological action:
Folic acid is a member of the vitamin B group. It is necessary for the normal production of red blood-cells, including maturation of megaloblasts into normoblasts.
